
Windows 2000 Dynamic and Static IP Setup
Step 1:
- Click on your Start Menu and open the Control Panel.

Step 2:
- Click Network and Internet Connections.

Step 3:
- Click Network Connections.

Step 4:
- Right click on Local Area Connection.
- Click Properties.

Step 5:
- Uncheck File and Printer Sharing and Microsoft Neworks and QoS
Packet Scheduler. (Optional)
- Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- Check Show Icon in notification area when connected.

Step 5:
Standard DSL package and Standard PLUS accounts:
- If you have an Standard DSL package leave this
to Obtain an IP address automatically.
- If you have an Standard DSL package leave this
to Obtain DNS server address automatically.
- Click OK when finished, goto Step 6.
All other DSL accounts:
- Move the bubble to Use the following IP address and enter yoour assigned
IP address's.
- Move the bubble to Use the following DNS server addresses.
- Enter 216.90.3.139 for Preferred and 216.90.3.140 for Alternate.
