Windows 2000 Static IP Setup

Step 1:

• Click on your Start Menu, Settings, and open the Control Panel.

 
Step 2:

•  Click Network and Dial-up Connections.

Step 3:

• Right click on Local Area Connection.
• Click Properties

Step 4:

• Uncheck File and Printer Sharing. (Optional)
• Check Show Icon in notification area when connected. (Optional)
• Double click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

Step 5:

• Move the bubble to Use the following IP address and enter yoour assigned IP addresses.
• Move the bubble to Use the following DNS server addresses.
• Enter 216.90.3.139 for Preferred and 216.90.3.140 for Alternate.
• Click OK when finished, goto Step 6.
